What’s the difference between the Alpine and Nordic line?

The Alpine line is lined with a cozy mid-weight fleece, whereas the Nordic Hat is unlined, made with our printed poly-lycra blend fabric - it’s lightweight, breathable, and fits great under helmets. We recommend the Alpine Hat for colder days, when taking a winter stroll, or going out for a ski. The Nordic Hat is the original Skida Hat that was designed with cross-country skiing in mind, so it’s a great hat for breaking a sweat in the cold. 

What is the difference between the Men’s and Women’s hats?

We have been tweaking our sizing ever since we started making hats seven years ago. Our ladies size is a "one size fits most” based on our customers’ responses to our products’ fit and sizing so far. Our men’s hats are slightly bigger than the ladies. See our sizing chart for specific dimensions. We offer a hassle free return & exchange policy, so if you are unhappy with the fit, send it back and we’ll happily make an exchange or process a refund.

What is your return policy?

We want you to be over-the-moon happy with your choice of headwear, so we offer a hassle free return policy.  We can refund any purchase to the original method of purchase, or provide store credit for any return within 30 days of placing your order.  All returned products must be returned in unused condition. If you’d like to return an item that has been purchased over 30 days ago, we’d be happy to issue store credit. To receive store credit for an item, you may return your merchandise to Skida with the return form that includes your customer information and we will provide you with credit for use on our website.   

What is your exchange policy?

Just like our return policy, we want you to be over-the-moon happy with your choice of headwear, so we offer a hassle free exchange policy. We can exchange any purchase as long as your requested product is in stock. We can process an exchange within 30 days of placing your orders. All products must be returned in unused condition. How do I return an item that I received as a gift?

You may exchange the item for another print in the same product type. Please return your item with a completed return form to the address above. 

Do Skida hats & headbands stretch?

Our Vermont-made hats and headbands are made of 4-way stretch fabrics, so the fit is forgiving and comfortable.

What is the Skida [ +1 ] Program and how do I partake?

For a patient undergoing chemotherapy, Skida Hats provide warmth, comfort, and cheer.   Our Skida [ +1 ] Program enables you, the customer, to donate a hat to one of our participating cancer centers when you place an order online by entering a special promotional code at the checkout. Each Skida [ +1 ] code corresponds with a participating cancer center. When we receive an order with a [ +1 ] code, Skida donates a hat to the corresponding center on your behalf. You can find a list of our participating cancer centers here. It is your Skida order, plus one.

What are the care instructions for my Skida products?

We recommend that you hand wash all Skida products with cold water and dry flat. This will prevent shrinkage and prolong the life of your favorite piece of headwear / accessory.  Care instructions are also listed on the product care tag.
