Skida Spring Break

Posted on 15 April 2021

A few weeks ago, we took our first Skida Spring Break – a time to play, test new products, and be outside. Here's what the team got up to over Spring Break and the Skida products we took with us!

Lydia & her Strawberry Fields Brim Hat traveled to the Great Sand Dunes National Park in southern Colorado. Here she is, all smiles after a four mile hike to the top of the dunes.

Julia, in the High Pile Hat in Buttermilk and Country Mitt reported from Windham Mountain in New York, "The sun was out, the pitches were steep, and the snow was perfect. Nothing like dodging bare patches to keep things exciting on the trail. Spring Break was a 10 out of 10!"

Maddie & Gipper started the week hiking Camel's Hump in the Green Mountain National Forest, which was muddy and warm at the start, and icy and windy at the top! They stayed in a cabin in Hancock, VT to recharge from the hike and hunkered down for some snowy days. Maddie layered up for the peak in the Prairie Bloom Nordic Headband and Indigo Star Tour.

Dave bouldered in Bolton, VT on the bank of the Pinneo Brook. The snow had all melted, but there was still a bit of ice around the edges of the water. The temperature warmed up to the mid-50s by 1pm – ideal climbing conditions. Dave fell in the brook, twice, but his
Ridge Beanie in Mystic kept him warm!

Tekla spent a few days at Smuggler's Notch for a cabin getaway and some alpine skiing. She hiked to some hidden waterfalls and enjoyed a meal cooked over a campfire. She double-layered her Wild Thing TourBristlecone Alpine Neckwarmer for extra warmth during a chilly lift ride!

Tess, a spring skiing enthusiast, took her Strawberry Fields Alpine Headband to Jay Peak in northern Vermont for some pond skimming, slushy snow, and sunshine.

Lizzie kept a low profile on the seasonal sap scene in southern Vermont thanks to the Stealth Alpine Hat
