What are your business hours?
The Skida Office is open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm EST; we are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and all Federal Observed Holidays. For customer service and order related inquiries, feel free to email us at, or call us at (802) 540-8100, during our business hours. Any calls or emails received outside of our business hours will be answered the following business day. As well, any calls or emails received on the weekend, will be addressed the following Monday.

Do you have a store?
Yes! Our showroom operates independently from our online store and is located at 16 Kilburn Street, between St. Paul and Pine Street, in Burlington, VT. Our winter showroom hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm. Our summer showroom hours are Monday-Friday 10am-5pm.

When will my order ship?
Skida does its best to ship customers’ orders as quickly as possible, so you can enjoy your Skida on your next adventure! Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days from the order date.

  • Orders placed after 10am EST will be processed by the next business day.
  • Orders placed after 10am EST Friday will be processed the following Monday.

*Skida is not responsible for delays due to weather and service interruptions with our carriers USPS and UPS.

What is the fastest shipping option?
Skida ships from our office in Burlington, Vermont. When estimating package arrival times, expect 1-2 business days for the processing of your order when choosing the best method of shipment. Orders received on the weekend will not ship until the following Monday or non-holiday. Skida offers several expedited shipping options; USPS Priority, USPS Priority Express, UPS 3 Day Select, UPS 2nd Day Air, and UPS Next Day Air (Overnight). Please call us during business hours to discuss the fastest option for you.

Where can I find my tracking information?
Once your order has hit the mail stream, a shipping confirmation email detailing your tracking information will be sent to you. If you do not receive your order confirmation email or shipping confirmation, please email us at or call us at (802) 540-8100 during business hours, and someone from the Skida team will gladly assist you.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes! Skida has the option to ship either USPS or UPS International. Please note that international orders may take up to 2-3 weeks, or longer, to deliver. Skida is not responsible for shipping delays for packages that are held in customs.


What's your return policy?
Skida wants you to be over-the-moon with your purchase.  We can refund any purchase to the original method of payment, or provide store credit for any return within 60 days of placing your order. 

  • All returned products must be returned in unused condition.
  • Skida currently doesn't cover the cost of return or exchange shipping.
  • Skida only accepts returns with receipt or proof of purchase from Skida.
  • If you’d like to return an item after 60 days, we will issue store credit for a print and product that is still considered in season. Skida will not accept returns of products that are over a year old.
  • To receive store credit, you may return your merchandise to Skida with the return form and proof of purchase from Skida.

How do I return an item that I received as a gift?
You may exchange the gifted item for another print in the same product type. Please return your item with a completed return form to the address above. The return policy for gifts follows the same return policy for purchases.


What's the difference between the Alpine and Nordic lines?
Our Alpine products are lined with a cozy mid-weight fleece. We'd recommend the Alpine Hat for those colder days when you need a little extra warmth. The Nordic products are unlined, made with our printed poly-lycra blend fabric. The Nordic Hat is lightweight, breathable, and fits great under helmets - it is the original Skida hat, designed with cross-country skiing in mind. Great for breaking a sweat in the cold!

What's the difference between the Men's and Women's hats?
We have been tweaking our sizing ever since we started making hats ten years ago. Our ladies size is a "one size fits most" based on our customers' responses to our products' fit and sizing so far. Our men's hats are slightly bigger than the ladies. See our sizing chart for specific dimensions. If you are unhappy with the fit, send it back and we'll happily make a change or process a refund.

Do Skida hats & headbands stretch?
Our Vermont-made hats and headbands are made of 4-way stretch fabrics - the fit is forgiving and comfortable.

What's the Skida [+1] Program and how do I partake?
For a patient undergoing chemotherapy, Skida Hats provide warmth, comfort, and cheer. Our Skida [+1] Program enables you, the customer, to donate a hat to one of our participating cancer centers when you place an order online by entering a special promotional code at the checkout. Each Skida [+1] code corresponds with a participating cancer center. When we receive an order with a [+1] code, Skida donates a hat to the corresponding center on your behalf. You can find a list of our participating cancer centers here. It's your Skida order, plus one!

What are the care instructions for my Skida products?
We recommend that you hand wash all Skida Vermont Collection products with cold water and lay flat to dry. For the Skida Cashmere Collection, we recommend dry cleaning. Following the care label instructions will prolong the life and fit of your favorite headwear and accessory pieces.

What happens if I need a repair?
Skida understands how coveted our prints can be. If you have a Vermont Collection product in need of repair, please send your cleaned product back to us detailing the repair needed and Skida will fix your product for free. Expect up to a 2 month turnaround for all repairs during our busy season (November-February).
