Operations
Full-time Position
Location: Skida HQ, Burlington, Vermont
The Logistics Specialist ensures the seamless flow of products, data, and operational processes across Skida’s supply chain, inventory systems, and fulfillment channels. This role blends analytical responsibilities with hands‑on operational execution—supporting everything from inventory reconciliation, valuation, and data reporting to warehouse operations, customer order prep, and 3PL partnership management. You will strive to have the right products, in the right places, at the right times, and at the best costs.
Working closely with Operations, Production, Finance, Sales, and Customer Service teams, the Logistics Specialist enhances visibility, accuracy, and efficiency across systems and physical workflows. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented, systems‑savvy problem solver who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys both strategic analysis and tactical operations.
Responsibilities:
Inventory & Data Analysis
• Maintain reports tracking inventory accuracy, availability, and sell‑through across channels and warehouse locations.
• Analyze inventory trends to inform purchasing, forecasting, and production planning.
• Support COGS and margin analysis, identify cost drivers, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure data integrity across ERP (Brightpearl, Deskera), 3PL platforms, Shopify, and internal reporting tools.
• Perform routine ERP × 3PL inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
3PL Operations & Fulfillment Execution
• Serve as Skida’s primary liaison with 3PL partners, communicating issues, service-level updates, improvement opportunities, and operational needs.
• Build and maintain dashboards tracking 3PL KPIs including OTIF, accuracy, receiving, and cost per order.
• Create and manage WROs for inbound shipments to 3PL facilities.
• Review wholesale and D2C orders in exception status, coordinating resolutions with Customer Service.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to anticipate fulfillment capacity for promotions, launches, and seasonal peaks.
Order Fulfillment & Kitting
• Plan and execute kitting and value‑added services for wholesale and D2C fulfillment.
• Pick, pack, and ship select wholesale orders from Skida’s warehouse as needed.
• Prepare customer orders, including labeling, bagging, and packaging according to customer’s requirements and standards.
• Reconcile Amazon warehouse inventory in Brightpearl with Amazon reporting.
Warehouse Operations
• Maintain an organized, accurate warehouse environment, ensuring proper labeling, stocking, and materials flow.
• Print and apply UPC labels for finished goods.
• Complete Brightpearl (or equivalent ERP order platform) warehouse transfers and physical transfers of product.
• Manage daily distribution of incoming mail and packages.
Transportation & Vendor Logistics
• Pack and ship materials (trims, labels, raw components) to vendors to support production.
• Serve as main contact for USPS, UPS, FedEx, and freight providers.
• Schedule freight pickups/deliveries and manage documentation.
• Coordinate routine and unplanned service for the Skida van.
Cost Optimization & Operational Analysis
• Analyze freight, fulfillment, packaging, and logistics costs to inform margin improvements.
• Support landed cost updates and pricing/margin analysis with Finance and Product teams.
• Track operating costs against budget and contribute to quarterly review processes.
• Assist in evaluating vendor and 3PL rate structures for negotiation or consolidation opportunities.
Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement
• Build reporting tools and dashboards in Excel, Google Sheets, or BI platforms integrating data from multiple systems.
• Produce ad hoc operational analyses to support strategic decision‑making.
• Document and improve operational workflows, identifying automation opportunities.
• Support system integrations through testing, troubleshooting, and data validation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with the Production Manager on supply planning and inbound logistics.
• Partner with Customer Service to resolve recurring fulfillment and order‑exception issues.
• Provide Finance with accurate data for allocations, forecasting, and reporting.
• Contribute KPIs and insights to Operations and Sales & Operations (S&OP) meetings.
Qualifications
Required
• 3+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain, or operations analysis (consumer goods/apparel preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets.
• Experience with ERP, 3PL, or order management systems (Brightpearl preferred).
• Ability to manage and interpret large datasets; experience with BI tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of inventory workflows, fulfillment operations, and cost structures.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform warehouse tasks as needed.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to operate a cargo van for local deliveries.
Preferred
• Experience with 3PL partners; familiarity with Amazon Seller Central or FBA workflows.
• Experience with shipping software (ShipStation, FedEx Ship Manager, etc.).
• Interest in outdoor gear, accessories, or Skida’s mission.

Position Summary: The Product Line Manager ensures that Skida has most
relevant products possible to inspire joy on every adventure in any condition.
This role will lead the development and execution of our seasonal product
lines, including merchandise assortment planning and seasonal calendar
planning, bringing Skida’s unique products and bright creative output to
life. This role is the heartbeat
connecting design, production, marketing and sales – ensuring that every
product tells our brand story, meets customer expectations, and aligns with
seasonal calendar.
This position is tailored for someone who has merchandising experience, has a
passion and appreciation for product, is collaborative, analytical, highly
organized, and a self-motivated problem-solver.In this role, you will lead Skida’s Merchandising strategy and business planning to continue delivering exciting new products while optimizing profitability and driving intentional sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmapping
- Collaborate cross functionally to build and maintain a seasonal product roadmap aligned with brand vision, merchandising strategies, and financial goals.
- Triangulate sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform product direction, new category exploration (which styles to develop and when to launch them), and end-of-life planning.
- Direct product line SKU planning based on historical data, market landscape, and brand direction.
- Maintain and evolve Core Product Management and strategy in collaboration with Leadership Team.
Business Calendar
- Create and manage a working seasonal calendar for product lifecycles, which includes: sales, production, fulfillment, marketing, finance, product development and design deadlines & key dates.
- Utilize Asana to create, manage, and update project timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule.
Product
Merchandising
- Develop and maintain merchandising line plans, ensuring balanced assortments by category, price point, and seasonal storytelling with alignment to both strategic plan and financial plan.
- Drive assortment strategy, including pricing strategy and margin strategy, seasonal grow/shrink/maintain, and seasonal drops & repeats.
- Analyze and review SKU Performance to determine SKU count and rationalization, seasonal Add + Drops. Set product MSRP and plan product mix in partnership with relevant Sales team members to deliver gross margin targets.
- Partner with Skida Design to create and maintain seasonal assortment “Merch” Guide in Figma and excel
- Create and maintain competitive marketplace assessments demonstrating Skida’s product and price positioning to the market.
Product Development
- Suggest on-brand new product development initiatives based on historical sales data, market data, and customer feedback.
- Manage the product development process starting with product concept briefs, outlining target customer, target price, competitive landscape, market opportunity, and unique selling points
- Partner with Production Manager to incorporate vendor capabilities into R&D process and make smart adjustments in materials or construction to balance design intent with financial objectives.
- Collaborate with Fit & Spec/Product Design to ensure the integrity of the brief carries through in tech packs through sampling, fit reviews, and production approvals.
Go-To-Market
- Prepare and deliver product education tools including product unique selling points (USPs) for sales and marketing teams, supporting go-to-market presentations and asset creation.
- Partner with Brand Manager to ensure seasonal launches, photoshoots, and campaign rollouts are aligned with product delivery schedules.
- Availability to support on photo shoots, lookbooks, and digital content to ensure products are captured on-brand and on schedule.
Communication & Process
- Collaborate with teams to evolve existing processes for continuous improvement.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular meetings and check-ins with cross-functional teams to ensure everyone is aligned and informed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in product management, product development, and merchandising – ideally in softgoods, apparel, or accessories.
- Have a passion, appreciation and sensibility for product. Have an eye and understanding for details, fabrication, and function. Ability to identify customer-right product in market
- Strong understanding of product costing, margins, and production processes.
- Excellent project management skills with a knack for keeping calendars, people, and priorities aligned.
- Analytical mindset paired with creative intuition: you’re equally comfortable digging into spreadsheets to make data-based decisions or building a compelling seasonal story.
- Comfortable presenting data-driven insights to internal team members and account partners (Sales Reps).
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and excited to help a growing brand scale.

- On-Time Calendar Execution: Achieve key milestone dates across design, sampling, marketing handoff, and production approvals, with minimal delays.
