Full-time Position (30+ hrs/week) & Part-time Position 15-30 hrs/week)

We are delighted to grow our Showroom Retail staff here in Burlington, Vermont.  The Showroom Retail Associate is the face of Skida in our flagship retail outlet and collaborates primarily with the sales and customer service team at Skida, ensuring that each customer has the best customer experience and finds the Skida products they are looking for. This position will assist our customers in a fast paced, lively environment, manage the point of sale during assigned hours, help plan, coordinate, and set up in-store visual merchandising, and restock inventory in the storefront daily. The role requires frequent communication and follow-up with Skida customers and with the Skida team across marketing, fulfillment, and sales departments. The right candidate will be a positive, self-motivated, problem solver, highly organized and able to go with the flow in a growing business.

Job Responsibilities:
Showroom Sales

  • Manage storefront sales in the showroom, greeting every customer
  • Plan, coordinate and carry out visual merchandizing for the showroom
  • Accountable for accurate inventory in the showroom through the creation of inventory transfers and ensuring all orders in the showroom have properly closed
  • Keep the showroom clean and organized daily
  • Reconcile the POS drawer at the end of each day and complete a daily cash out
  • Complete daily report of showroom sales
  • Update hours on signage and the sandwich board in the showroom, as needed

Customer Service
  • Answer the main Skida phone line, directing calls to the correct staff (as needed), answering questions for customers and processing phone orders
  • Assist in managing the customer service email, as a key customer service representative and serve as the primary contact June-September
  • Communicate customer needs as they arise and identify key areas that may need to be communicated to the Skida team (product defects, fit feedback, etc.)
Sales Team
  • Support the sales team as needed with Customer and Retailer Service

Applicants must have:

  • 1-3 years retail experience
  • Rockstar customer service skills
  • Saturday availability

The Customer Service Representative provides an excellent customer experience through product knowledge, efficient communication, and a passion for helping others.  This role requires basic computer skills, strong organizational skills, phone experience, and the ability to work as part of a team.  You will communicate directly with Skida customers and facilitate any customer needs via phone and email.  The Customer Service Representative has a positive attitude, thrives in a team environment, and is enthusiastic about providing the best customer experience possible.


Customer Happiness                    

  • Daily responsibilities will include consistent communication and collaboration with our local warehouse and distribution center.
  • Serve as the primary customer service representative
  • Respond to customer inquiries within 36 hours via ZenDesk Customer Service platform by email or phone
  • Manage customer service voicemail box
  • Direct customers to the corresponding department when necessary
  • Answer the telephone to assist customers, place orders, or connect them to the correct line
  • Assist customers with order and tracking information when needed
  • Assist Fulfillment Team in processing cancellations, returns & exchanges
  • Support team members in other areas of responsibility during heavy workflow periods
  • Communicate user experience issues to web team
  • Assist with customer service reporting via ZenDesk

Skida is seeking part-time and full-time seasonal fulfillment support to join our team and keep pace with the busy winter season ahead. This position will assist in picking and packing orders, organizing and stocking inventory, moving boxes and keeping our fulfillment areas clean. The ideal candidate will be positive, self-motivated and detail oriented, and have the ability to communicate effectively as part of a tight knit team. Experience with pack & ship is a plus.
