The eCommerce Manager brings direct-to-consumer expertise to Skida's team, owning the eCommerce sales channel, ensuring a topnotch brand experience, and optimizing the performance of skida.com and supporting digital marketplaces. This role bridges creative marketing and data-driven execution, ensuring the website, campaigns, and product merchandising align to deliver a seamless customer experience and measurable growth. As the in-house expert for site performance, the eCommerce Manager translates data into action, adjusting merchandising, content, and UX to deliver a seamless experience that reflects Skida's brand values and inspires joy on every adventure in any condition. They partner across Marketing, Sales, Operations, and external vendors to develop and execute Skida's eCommerce strategy to meet company sales and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Merchandising & Campaign Integration
• Own day-to-day product presentation, site navigation, and merchandising strategy for skida.com to drive strong sell-through and improved conversion.
• Collaborate with Marketing Director and Brand Manager on seasonal campaigns, ensuring site content, homepage, and product storytelling reflect marketing priorities, Skida's visual identity, seasonal storytelling, and brand tone.
• Merchandise site to product launches, ensuring Collections, Product Display Pages (PDPs), assets, pricing, and descriptions are accurate, SEO-optimized, and aligned with marketing calendar.
• Lead quarterly site reviews to propose and implement updates that improve brand presentation and customer experience.
• Partner with Marketing Director, Sales Director, and PLM to ensure inventory visibility and product availability align with forecast and promotional strategy.
Channel Ownership & Performance Accountability
• In partnership with Marketing Director, own D2C revenue performance, site conversion, and channel health metrics across skida.com and supporting digital marketplaces.
• Track daily, weekly, and seasonal sales pacing; identify performance drivers and areas for improvement.
• Optimize product listings and storefronts for emerging marketplaces and sales channels in addition to Shopify such as Shop App, TikTok Shop, and Amazon.
• Act as primary owner of on-site experience and functionality, ensuring the website's look, feel, and navigation align with brand standards and drive measurable conversion outcomes.
• Serve as the internal subject-matter expert for D2C analytics and platform performance, guiding decisions across marketing and operation.
Site Performance, Analytics & Conversion Optimization
• Monitor key KPIs, i.e. site traffic, add to cart, conversion rate, average order value (AOV), bounce rate, and site speed, providing actionable insights to Marketing Director.
• Utilize analytics tools and manage reporting across Shopify, GA4, Klaviyo, and Meta Ads, to monitor KPIs and proactively propose optimizations and campaign adjustments.
• Lead A/B testing and site optimization initiatives using CRO tools (e.g., Hotjar, RetentionX, Shopify apps) to improve UX, checkout flow, and conversion.
• Oversee technical integrations, tagging, and data accuracy to ensure a reliable analytics ecosystem for marketing attribution.
Digital Marketing & Marketplace Expansion
• Drive coordination across digital advertising, SEO, and lifecycle marketing by collaborating with marketing and agency partners to align acquisition and retention tactics with onsite behavior.
• Manage feed integrations, attribution tagging, and catalog visibility across third-party sales channels.
• Partner with Marketing team members on landing pages, content, and offers that improve traffic quality and return on ad spend.
Communication, Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Enhancements
• Forecast eCommerce demand and track order volume to inform production and staffing needs for peak seasons.
• Partner with Customer Experience and Operations teams to troubleshoot site issues and improve post-purchase experience.
• Collaborate with teams to iterate on existing processes for continuous improvement.
• Maintain project management timelines (Asana) and communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to relevant stakeholders for seasonal campaign and site updates.
• Facilitate regular meetings and check-ins with cross-functional teams to ensure everyone is aligned and informed.
Qualifications:
• 4-6 years of experience in eCommerce management, digital marketing, or site operations within consumer goods or apparel.
• Advanced knowledge of Shopify (Plus preferred), GA4, Klaviyo, and related eCommerce tools.
• Experience managing or supporting SEO, SEM, paid media, and lifecycle marketing programs.
• Hands-on experience with A/B testing and CRO tools such as Hotjar, Optimizely, or RetentionX.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices for conversion and mobile optimization.
• Analytical thinker with demonstrated experience translating metrics into business actions.
• Exceptional organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines.
• Collaborative, creative, and eager to explore new technologies and marketing trends.

Operations

Burlington, VT (On site + remote)
Skida is seeking an experienced sewer to join our In-House Production team! This part-time position will assist in custom labeling of special projects and occasionally support production of finished goods. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Remote work is a possibility. A passion for local production is a plus!
Responsibilities:
• Sew woven labels with precision
• Sew finished goods as directed by the team lead
• Adhere to specific due dates for project completion
• Responsible for tracking finished products on a daily and weekly basis
• Apply finishings to finished goods as needed (i.e. tagging and bagging)
• Other duties and responsibilities may include being trained in applying heat transfers, cutting, and R&D
Requirements:
• Experience sewing and following a pattern
• Experience sewing with cover stitch is a plus
• Strong attention to detail
