High Pile Mitt

Really nice mittens, but although I normally wear a men’s small glove/mitten, I ordered medium/large, hoping to use a glove liner.
Although comfortable to wear, it wasn’t easy to get the mittens on, and using a liner is impossible because there is just no room for them. Are these considered women’s mittens, and sized accordingly? These fit me like a men’s small.

These mittens are a warm polar fleece hug for your hands. They are cozy, not too bulky, and great for all your winter adventures.

These are seriously my favorite mittens. Barn chores, skiing, to work at my corporate office, on date night… they work in every way. They’re not bulky with tons of insulation but somehow my hands are almost never cold! After my pup chewed one, I didn’t wait even a day to buy a replacement pair. They’re worth every penny (and I’ve protected this new pair like the prized possession they are).

These are really well made and look great. I am glad I read reviews as one gal bought a larger size to accommodate her liners. By themselves, they aren’t incredibly warm. Nice for a brisk day but not anything for a really cold day. With the liners, my hands are super cozy and warm.

I had to try these when I saw the Skida x VT Glove collaboration (luckily was in the market for new gloves when these dropped). I love the rich chestnut color, p-cord wrist pull accent, and high quality leather. The gloves were thinner than I expected, which worried me at first, but after wearing them on a long snowshoe hike and downhill skiing a few times, I’ve found them super warm and am really satisfied. I do wish the wrist cuffs were a bit longer so that they would fit overlapping a coat's sleeves, but tucking them into the sleeves/cuffs worked just as well. My hands are pretty small and after trying on a small and medium, I went with the medium so that glove liners would fit inside with some wiggle room for really cold days. Overall would recommend these!

Despite reading about the technical properties, I bought these mitts to be a nice-looking town piece, or to wear post-ski when I'm chilled and need to get really warm. They work great for both. The inside is very soft, fleecy and comforting. The leather is nice and supple. They are incredibly warm. And they fit and feel better the more you wear them in. I've gotten a ton of compliments on them for their looks, but really love them for how comfortable they are. I want to keep them nice so probably wouldn't wear them for high output play days, but think they'd be pretty functional. Highly recommend.

The length of the mitten is very short leaving exposed skin. The mitten itself is warm and leather is nice. Wish it were longer.

These are, hands down, the greatest mittens. They keep my freezing hands toasty and the ability to cinch at the wrist is perfect. The leather softens pretty quickly and when I had an issue with them and contacted Vermont Glove, they were able to repair them (it was 100% my fault). I can't recommend these gloves and both Skida and Vermont glove enough <3

Love the simple components of this mitt. Ask me again after the season. I am a little concerned about how much the mitten will stretch as leather naturally does~ These are solidly crafted. Especially love that there are no finger separaters inside of the mitten. Thank you!

I've been considering these mittens for awhile and decided to pull the trigger on them for this winter. My first outing at Mt. Baker in WA it was maybe 20*F and very windy. I'm usually struggling to keep my hands warm even when the rest of me is toasty in layers. I had to take these mittens off several times because they kept my hands so toasty! And even when I took my hands out because I needed the dexterity of my fingers for a few minutes, they would actually get warm again in these mittens. I'm so pleased!!! Also as a girl with fairly long hands and fingers, the XL sizing is much appreciated while still being able to cinch the wrist. And they're great looking mittens! Two big thumbs up!

I loved reading about how great these goatskin mitts are. But they aren't that warm (won't tuck into coat cuffs easily), and are stiff and have some funky seaming. This may all change as they soften with time, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.
